BarterFly is a neighbourhood marketplace for swapping goods, skills, and services. This policy explains what we collect in the app and why.

Information we collect

• Account: name, email, password, username, bio, profile photo, and location you provide.
• Listings and content: posts, photos, videos, trade details, chats, reviews, and saved items.
• Device: app version, platform (iOS or Android), and optional push notification token.
• Location: approximate or precise location when you allow it, so we can show nearby neighbours and distance.
• Optional biometrics: Face ID / fingerprint stay on your device. We do not receive your biometric template.
• Selfie checks: if you use selfie verification, a photo may be processed to confirm a face is present.

How we use it

To run your account, show listings and matches, send in-app and push notifications, keep the community safe, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

Other users can see the public parts of your profile, listings, and posts. Service providers (hosting, email, push notifications) process data only to run BarterFly. We may disclose information if required by law or to prevent harm.

Retention and your choices

We keep account data while your account is active. You can edit your profile in the app. To delete your account, follow Profile → Settings → Delete account, or use the support form.
